Our Showcase definition:  Exhibit your scene work in this class and receive insight from professionals to help gauge your scene work and understanding of the business in an educational forum.

Our showcases/intensive/classes are priced affordably!

Our showcases/intensive classes are for 18 and above only.

Please read format and description below:

 

-Prepared scene or monologue up to 2 minutes (Sides Rules Click Here)

 – Feedback assessment on your scene work and performance using our evaluation sheets

-Scene work in small class groups of up to six actors (learn by watching others but less stress with small group)

-Some of you in your class group will be selected for redirects/adjustments by our staff or guests to help improve all of your scene work

-30 to 40 minute moderated class Question and Answer with the agents/managers

-30 to 45 minute in-depth seminar taught by our staff

Our Format:

Agent/Manager Showcase/Intensive/Class

-Bring a scene or monologue NO longer than 2 minutes (time limit is enforced please time your scene or monologue before you bring it in). Bring a copy of materials with you, even if it’s a monologue. Highlight your scene and have materials ready before arriving.

 Readers will be provided if you don’t sign up with a paid scene partner! SIDES SUGGESTIONS and RULES

– You will do your scene work in small classroom groups of no more than 6 actors(as it does help to learn by watching other actors do their work)and all the agents in the room with you as well as the reader provider or your scene partner. Some of you will be selected and given an additional redirect/adjustments by either our staff or the industry guest to help improve all of your scene work. You will see what works well and doesn’t work well with scene work. 

-We will then come together as a class and the informative classroom moderated Question and Answer will take place at the end. A great way to gain valuable insight and have your questions answered by top professionals! After the 30 to 40 minute classroom moderated Question and Answer with the Industry Guests concludes we will take a short break and the 30 to 45 minute class seminar will take place with our staff covering information such as tips on finding representation on your own, how agents/managers work,marketing yourself, social media, headshots/resumes, networking, unions, and more.

-Agents/Managers will also provide feedback by filling out a numbered evaluation sheet with a multiple range of questions rating their opinion/feedback of your scene work, performance and headshot(determined by guests attending).  However, agents/managers will NOT take headshots/resumes with them when they leave they will be used for class purposes only and the headshots/resumes will be returned to actors before the end of the class.

-You are paying to attend our showcase/intensive/class designed to learn and get insight, it is only an educational experience.

Additional Showcase/Intensive/Class Description:

These showcases/classes/intensives/seminars are designed to give you insight into our guest’s opinions of your scene work and current business trends in the Industry. It includes our classroom moderated Question and Answer with our guests and also receiving an evaluation/feedback sheet rating our guest’s opinion of your scene work so you can better evaluate your scene choices and progress. We also add the additional benefit of attending our  free scene feedback class for actors to help fine tune their work or make adjustments of their work based on the evaluation you receive. You are welcome to attend the free scene feedback class up to 30 days before or after your showcase/class/intensive when it’s available on the calendar. The INTENT of this showcase/class/intensive is solely educational and to provide a learning experience. We want you to learn and gain insight from these guests by hearing their opinions of the business, as they all have different opinions and different experience to share. In addition to the Question and Answer with the Industry Guests a class seminar covering information such as tips on finding representation on your own, how agents/managers work,marketing yourself, social media, headshots/resumes, networking, unions, and more will take place with our staff at the end of the events.

Cancellation and Contract: Here is our Actor Contract as required by California Law: CONTRACT AND CANCELLATION POLICY(view and in printable pdf form click here).  In addition to this policy we offer a credit/reschedule policy-If you would like to cancel and reschedule for another class/showcase/intensive or use for store credit,we can issue store credit good for six months.

We do expect a professional courtesy of at least 48 hours prior to the Intensive/class/showcase for cancellations(as these events are difficult to organize. Actors not giving proper courtesy notice may be restricted from signing up in advance for future classes/intensives/showcases.
